Replacing the key battery
Hi All,
I have a 2007 S550 launch edition. I just started getting a "replace key battery" message on start up. Is this something that I can do myself or is it a dealer job?

2007 S600
Most definitely do it yourself. You can get the batteries at wal-mart. A pocket knife blade will help you pry open the key battery compartment.

The user manual describes how the battery should be changed. This also confirms that the owner at least can if not should replace the battery himself/herself.

Dealers usually charge $20 USD to replace the key battery

wal mart wont change them for you. If $20 isnt a big deal to you take it to the parts dept.
