Unusual NAV behavior -
About a week ago (before I uploaded 7.0), I thought the NAV system had a stroke. Situated in Southern NJ, the NAV display indicated the vehicle was in Maryland. Once a destination was requested, she calculated directions from somewhere several hundred miles from where the vehicle actually was at the time.
Took the vehicle into the dealer this morning, and the SA told me the vehicle would have to spend the night as the on-board computer indicated the SAT antenna was not connected, and the back seat (and more) had to be pulled to find the Y connector that was broken. The service tech fortunately found the disconnect rather quickly, and I was up and running in 2 hours. Has anyone had this experience?

Yes. Mine did this a few times not long after I bought the car and before I loaded the 08 comand update and the v.5 nav update. However, after all of that was done, it has never happened again. It was a common problem mentioned on the forum back in the early months of W221 prodxn but yours seems to be different in that it was a hardware issue (broken cable).
