As mentioned in an earlier thread I just don't get this "flat ornament look". IMO it instantly cheapens the look of an S-Class. The upright 3 pointed star hood ornament is an essential part of the character and heritage of the car....

Everyone to their own of course...

Chris, I totally understand what you mean but it's just a matter of preference. I mean, several Mercedes vehicles come stock with the flat badge, only a few (S, E, and Luxury C's) still use the standing star.

Like you said though, everyone to their own...
