Repairing leather scratches

I've managed to scratch my S65 drivers seat - probably with a rivet on my Levi's I'm guessing. Can this be repaired? I don't want to lose the nice matt finish on the seats. Anyone had this repair done?

How deep are the scratches?

Have never worn jeans and screen my passengers for any poss damaging attire/behaviors, so never have had issues w/65's well-finished leather

Seriously, have a soft-finish leather wallet that sometimes develops micro-scuffs which self-resolve...perhaps 65's leather finish behaves similarly vs minor scuffs?

Hhhmmmm, not sure I'd use Lexol on an S class. Lexol is now a Walmart product (ie. it's found on Walmart shelves ).

Leatherique is the way to go. That, or Connolly Hide. These 2 are top of the line (what your fine S class leather deserves)

Hmmmmm, how does an S-Class owner like YOU know what's found on Wal-Mart shelves?

Ha, you just blew your cover!

Can you post a "close-up" picture?

Thanks A/G. Leatherique seems worthwhile. I think I once heard that Hide food was only good for Jaguar leathers since they use some kind of peculiar leather and that hide food is not good and in fact bad for German cars.
Don't know if there's any truth to that...

Leatherique should be your product of choice. However, that will not take care of scratches in the leather. It will minimize the scratches but it will not make them disappear. I have used Leatherique for about 10 years and am quite familiar with the corrective qualities of the product.

Depending on the severity of the scratches you may have to re dye the leather. My wife's S550 has the designo porcelain interior and somehow she managed to scratch the seat cushion. I bought the leather dye followed the directions and the scratch is not noticeable. Great product.

Leatherique is a FANTASTIC product for taking care of your ultra-fine leather.

I've used it on my S500, my S600 and my ML and it does an amazing job every time.

Highly recommended.

At Walmart.

Good question.

Go on the detailing forum here and see what they have to say. They know a lot more about this stuff than I ever will.

Where did you buy the dye?
