Hey guys,could you please give me suggestions on the best way to debadge my car.

Heat gun, pick off with a knife or razor blade or something to that nature (be careful) then adhesive remover. You can get a heat gun / adhesive remover from Home Depot. Good luck!

I drive the racism out of BadDebt. ;)
i used a hair dryer to heat up the emblems and some good dental floss.....works like a charm. Don't forget to use GOO GONE to clean up any residue. Then re-wax the area.

Once you get it heated up, you can pretty much pick it off with anything. Either way it's going to leave some adhesive.

I just used a claw hammer. Plucked them bad boys off in one minute. I had one that gave me trouble that a good ice pick and that same hammer took care of.

The best way to debadge is to order the car with the free option code 260. Too late for the car in question unfortunately. Or is this one of those "options" that MBUSA would not support?

What about the center star emblem? Any difference in removing it since I heard they have prongs that goes into the holes.

The rule anyway is that the star from the middle should not be removed. The star comes with option code 260 too.

The point in my opinion is that one would not want to brag about the model, at least not as visibly, like your S63 AMG can anyway be recognised to be that model, at least by MB experts and those that cannot, do not need to know it.

Nothing wrong with maintaining the badges though.

The center star does have prongs on it. If removed there will be holes where the prongs insert into the trunk. The only right way to do this is to have a professional body shop fill them and repaint.

Looks like you are bent on doing this. So, here is a site with some pics of an S with front badges removed. The hood ornament is replaced witha flat MB badge. Makes the standard S550 look more "sporty" I guess
