W221 Lightbulb guide (Might be useful) Taken from sylvania.com

Just in case anyone here works on their own cars like I do - I wanted to post this handy reference guide from sylvania.com. Might save someone the trouble of having to figure this out on their own. As a previous BMW owner, I miss the incredible resources available on those forums. So I will do what I can here.

The part numbers here aren't necessarily proprietary to sylvania, just the letter additions at the end like XV, CB, or ST. Read the notes.

My front left headlights have been flickering for months. I believe it is because the parts are shorting out as this headlight housing has trapped water since day one. They can't seem to see this when it is at the shop so they won't replace it (yet). I bet I can get it done before the warranty is over.

Sounds like an easy fix or an expensive ballast. Or both! But yeah, I would only take my car to the dealer if it was on a flatbed. Warranty or not, driving a loaner car is a punishment.

EDIT:

I forgot to mention that if you are trying to replace any of the 2825 bulbs, you might have better luck looking up type-194 instead. This seems to be the exact same bulb, but different part number and more common.
