Burgundy (Custom color) Leather Interior for new S550?
Greetings,
First posting!
I am thinking of getting an S550, GLK350 or the new E-class convertible in a few months. My father had a 280SL many years ago, silver with a burgundy or dark red interior, and I would like something similar-leather seats, door panels, possibly dash. Priorities would be 'factory-like' appearance and rock-solid durability--no painting of the leather! I also don't want it to look too-customized, which could prevent me from selling it later.
Brabus could be a possibility (they do some interesting things with interiors although some look too Vegas for my taste-the burgundy ostrich skin in particular), but I wanted to see if anyone here has experience in either pushing a dealer to order custom colors from the factory, or getting an after-market refitting.
If I could order it from the factory, I would get a new car; if it was a re-fit, I would probably get a year-old model (which means waiting for the GLK and E-class converible).
Thanks!
