Brake Shudder-New Rotors @ 14k?
This is my 5th benz and first time issue, drove CLS 500 for 4yrs without need for rotor replacement, so I'm skeptical to believe the dealer when he says it's a 'user-error'
I don't mind replacing pads (even though benz should cover them... I know, I know), but replacing the rotors @ 14k, no way... Am I being unreasonable?
P.S.- For those wanting to find other issues, the car shimmies only during braking and corresponds with wheel rotation.
Thanks all
Enjoy

MB rep said it was caused by repeated frequent heavy braking from high speeds (at 8k miles),which was the truth anyway.
I frequently drive on the Edens at 4-5 am ,no cops in sights so I can't help it (it's an autobahn cruiser ,isn't it?)
After spending over $16k on replacement I decided to never again buy a car without CCBs.
None of the Benzes have them so I would not buy any of them until they do.
The new $300k SL65BS is a disgrace ,with steel brakes only,IMO.

Much admire CCM/PCCB (esp pedal feel of PCCB) but last versions I've driven in rain (on 599 and 997TT) have troubling, non-confidence-inspiring brake response characteristics in rain driving; I'm told latest-gen PCCB in 997GT2 are improved vs wet but I've only driven GT2 in dry, so don't know if that claim is true
