2010 S63 Designo Question
Newbie here but I have a question I hope you guys can help me out with. I went today to order a new S class. After much deliberation, web surfing and lurking on this board, I decided to go with the S63.
I was excited to find a press release on Daimler's media site regarding, among other things, the color combinations available for the 2010 line-up. "Specific enhancements to the S 63 AMG and S 65 AMG: Exclusive top-of-the-line AMG S-Class models now boast even greater appeal"
An excerpt:
"The entire designo range is available to provide further individualisation options for the S 63 AMG and S 65 AMG. Ten different designo paint finishes can be combined with ten designo aniline leather appointments options and four natural leather appointments variations – with the result that there are practically unlimited possibilities for customers to turn their personal preferences into reality."
On the Mercedes Benz Malta website you can even "build" an S-Class using the new colors.
I visited a dealer today that I have a fairly strong relationship with. They were not aware of the new designo offerings. I showed them the press release and they are currently working on getting some more information on it but I am surprised and concerned that this was new information to them.
I was hoping that someone here might have some insight into this - please let me know if you do. I have fallen in love with the new colors and will be really disappointed to not take advantage of the opportunity to have one of them. Thanks.
