mercedes 2011 CLS550 with AMG package
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I purchased a set of wheels and then had them painted and they have had several issues. I am so disappointed with the color and quality that I am considering changing the wheels to another style. The paint finish is bubbling now within a week.
So my options are to
1) keep the open spoke (style A - sim to s63) and have them painted silver AGAIN by another shop of MY choice and they do fantastic work
2) Install (style B - sim to s63)
I am assuming that there will not be a cost to me. SO either 1 or 2.
OR do I install vossen 22" and pay the difference. The issue is that I have heard that 22's are nothing but trouble regarding issues with bent wheels and tire issues. Note that wifey is touring our 6 and 3 year old girls around so I do not want them stuck on the highway with a flat tire from hitting something in the road or hitting a pot hole (a lot of issue with rain and not seeing them and running into a hole and bending a wheel etc.
thoughts ???

Since it's the wife's car, I would personally leave on the 19" AMG wheels that came with the car. I don't think you're gaining that much appearance wise with the one inch bigger 20's and the 22's, in my opinion, are not worth the headache of bent rims, etc. The first time your wife is calling AAA from the side of the road, she probably won't think the 22's are worth it either.

interesting fact. I have always installed the typical wheels on my cars; HRE, Racing Dynamic, Vellano, Zauber, Enki, BBS, AMG, etc. and when we purchased our wifes R350, it had 22" wheels that were TWC and the car was in the benz showroom.
The wheels were as good as any of the wheels that I have had on my cars before. We had the R class for 30 months or so and had no issues at all. So instead of spending crazy dollars I went for a nice design and a wheel that would not break the budget. The wheel I got is ONLY for mercedes and they use the OEM specs, no hub rings etc.
I have the wheels on the car now and they are fine, just have a paint issue and we are tired of trying to get the color correct.
When we got the wheels in Aug, style B was not available yet. It was one of my first choices from the catalog and now they will be on the car. We have gone full circle - ha ha ha

yes; there is a little difference regarding handling. You feel the road a little more. Because the tire size increased from 19" to a 20" it was expected.
But I wanted JUST a LITTLE more agreesive look. I really wanted the 21's or even 22's. But since this is my wifes daily driver and touring the 2 girls around. We did not want to deal with all the issues that come with such a low tire sidewall. Everyone that I know that has 22's always tell me the issues with flat tires and bent wheels due to the such a low tire sidewall
