Limited Slip Differential S65

Does anyone else wonder why the S65 does not have a LSD? It's very easy to break traction on the one right rear wheel. Is this something that can be retrofitted?

Call Renntech. They have one. I have been thinking of getting one.

Wow really?? Prob due to warranty reasons with LSD breaking due to abuse from some owners...im sure there is a good reason why there is no LSD

2010 CL65
Had '07 SL65 (w/factory LSD; Mich Pilot Sports): simply awful traction, even on dry, uneven pavement in CA, let alone rainy CA winter days...in aggressive mid-range accel on fwy or out of corners in twisties (I have zero interest in aggressive launches from 0MPH)

My '09 CL65 (w/no LSD; ContiSC2) has excellent traction, even on damp mtn twisties

My understanding is AMG tweaked throttle response in MY09 to improve traction...and seems to have done a marvelous job whatever they did

Traction when have 738 lb-ft is a delicate balance of well-titrated throttle response, one's driving style, perf tires, wheelbase, ESP....and suspect LSD is a fairly minor factor except in near-limit driving which one wouldn't want to risk on a public rd anyway

Hum. Well, I find that 0-60, the traction control intervenes a LOT and even then the S back end wiggles around quite a bit.
