Rised vehicle - uneven heights, Airmatic problem?

I found out the vehicle sits on side lower then on the other. Only in the back. What does it mean?? Anyone had this issue before?

Were you parked on a completely level surface? Theres only one airmatic height sensor in the rear.

What do you mean there's only one sensor in the rear? Do you mean it cannot detect if it's faulty?

The surface is completely flat or at least I'm not able to tell the difference.

the angle of the pics makes it impossible to see what the true height is. If you're really unsure if you have a problem, you may want to try using a measuring tape from the center line of the wheels to the fender lip.

Either way, I wouldn't be concerned if its a minor height difference.

I would say that you'd to get that check. Airmatic is pretty complicated, and the senors automatically adjust the height for driving conditions. On a flat plain surface the car should not be uneven. Couple of causes, leaking strut, and valve blockage. Better to get it checked.

If you have Sports ABC Suspension then you have two sensors in the front and two sensors in the rear, not one. Take it in to the dealership.

Its something I would get checked out, if you dont and the warrenty is up, later it could cost ya. To the OP dont worry just call the dealer and they will advise you. After all they are the advisors.

The airmatic system has one height sensor mounted in the center to measure ride height. So it operates both rear struts off the same sensor. Unlike the front with two sensors. Do you have ABC?

I don't have ABC unfortunately. If you get 4matic, you cannot have ABC at the same time. I have chosen 4matic over ABC because I travel to countries where weather doesn't meet one's expectations sometimes

My warranty ends up in January and I will have it checked for sure. I bought extended warranty for another 2 years but if this gets sorted under the original one, that's better.

Could be leakage, yeah .. who knows! Just wanted to make sure this didn't happen to someone. Now I'm sure it is a fault.

I wonder why they can't combine ABC w/ 4matic. What is the technical reason for that?

I am seeing this for few days .. one day I try to measure it with fingers, next day closed fist to see how it fits inside, next day with something else that's close

With S-Class, I'm concerned about anything that's not 100%. Even 99% might be a sign something is going wrong. This car is so complex you have to take care of it as if it was your child
