It looks good, it still has original warranty. It would be great to see carfax to know when this warranty expires, but I guess it should be at least till September of 2010. Earlier models had a satellite antenna on the trunk. This one does not have it.
You may negotiate the price with those guys. My MB dealer told me, wherever you buy your used car check the VIN with him to see if this car is eligible for MB extended warranty. I think this is good advice. You may not need it, but if you bought it and during first $5K miles from 45K to 50K you got some problems - you always can spend another $3K and buy extended warranty for 3 years.
BTW, what makes you think to buy MB after Lexus ? Everybody keeps saying LS is very nice and reliable car. I did test drive of LS460 and didn't like it, but I'm driving BMW and MB for last 10 years and it's hard to change to boatlike LS.

Good morning. I will definitely ask for a CarFax and have the car checked out by a good friend of mine and inquire about an extended warranty prior to 50k miles. I will also contact MB USA to confirm the VIN and if will qualify for an extended warranty. I have had over 7 Lexus cars and wife currently drives 04GS430. I had a 2000 S430 before and liked it and my 04 LS430 is a great car but majority of the drivers I see are 55 and older...I'm not too far from them (43) lol. I'm just looking for a change. I did look at BMW's as well but it's not me.

All cars they selling are 3 years old. The most cars were sold from April to October of 2006. The selling prices when those cars were brand new were about $90K-$95K. All cars in USA, and MB is no exception lose 50% value after first three years. 95 divide by two will be almost 48 and adding $5K for CPO become $53K. So, the price for CPO must not be more than $53K-$54K. If you pay more - it's your personal preference and loving of that specific car.
I know it prob sounds silly, but it's my logic when I choose it.

makes no sense esp since they were getting rid of 09's for $15-20k off sticker. what does that mean for lo mile 07's $50-53k max. like i said earlier do some homework and get a much better car in the s600 for mid 60's!! the condition will be the same and both will have warranty.

I agree. My previous E class - engine was changed after 8 months of ownership ( lease ). I had lots of problems with that car and they wanted to buyback it. I guess that's what it is. At the end, they changed 3-4 sensors and something in computer module and after that I did not have any problems. BTW, they gave me a check for $1,600 for inconvenience. That was nice feeling )))

Buyback due to what issue? Apparently the issue was so severe, the dealership could not CPO the car. Again, steer clear. I wouldn't buy it.
Like others said, there are literally hundreds of 2007+ S classes with exisiting warranties + 2 year CPO for amazingly low prices.

Here's another one on Autotrader. Local car (Dallas). 2007 S550 AMG package with 39,000 miles selling for $47,444. This was listed on the description area "There is a acccident report on the autocheck but the repairs appear to have been very minimal".

I just went to MB website and searched for CPO S550 Nationwide.
Ewing Autohaus in Plano, TX has nice black S550 CPO with 40K miles on it.
Asking price $46,900. I think they will sell it for $45K..may be less, but it's not Sport Package.
