Trunk Adjustment With Spoiler

Trunk Adjustment With Spoiler
I just put the small lip trunk spoiler on my trunk but now the trunk doesn't pop open by itself. Does anyone know if there's an adjustment like tightening the springs or something that will fix this? The car does not have the automatic trunk closer. (not sure if that matters)

I experienced the same issue a few weeks ago. I took the car to the dealer, they said the tensioners were spent. They replaced them with new ones, no charge - still under warranty. The trunk lid now swings open on its on again, but not as swiftly as it used to. At least it opens and I don't have to put the bags on the floor to open the trunk. I can't believe how lazy I've gotten 
I also can't believe that something as light as the small spoiler can affect the trunk door balance that significantly.
