Fast forward when playing CDs?

Fast forward when playing CDs?
This might be a stupid question, but... is there a way to fast forward any faster while playing CDs? Some of the "tracks" I listen to can be 2 or 3 hours long (as a single track). When I slide the joystick to the right, it fast forwards at about a 5:1 ratio (5 seconds forward for every second of holding the joystick). Same ratio whether Audio CD or data MP3, CD or DVD media.
That's just too damn slow.
After three + years of owning the car, you'd think I'd have discovered if there was a way. But I'm asking anyhow.

I don't think there is any quicker way.
I do the same thing while ff/rev DVD movies or CDs.
Just keep holding the joystick wheel.
