Took S550 over LS 460L
Finally took the plunge on 07 S550 4matic MB certified for $52 K total:
AMG, P2, rear cam, nightview, pwr trunk, wood/heated wheel, 41K mileage.
Good deal?
Noticed large disparity in seat comfort/drivers legroom with the S class compared to the LS when test driving. At 6'5" there's still more than enough room, any members notice the same upon comparison shopping?
Just need some 19" Blizzak LM 60's now for these Toronto winters!!!
Best in health to all, Merry Xmas.

Congrats, on the new ride. I don't have the 4 Matic, but the car is pretty loads and I bought it certified per-owned as well. It had about 20k miles and I got it for about 59k, if this gives you some comparison. Post some pictures when you get a chance.

lexus L finesse destroyed their timeless designs. even their new 80k LX has crappy design. precision machines except when it comes to design.

LS460L has excellent quality however at 6'9" I simply have no room in the drivers seat, my knee/lower leg is crunched into the dash. I drove the LS460 short wheel base and fit OK in that car, go figure. S550 def wins hands down for interior room.

The S550 has more room in the drivers seat because Mercedes got rid of the traditional gear changer/linkage/housing between the seats and made it electronic on the steering column.

I'm only 6'3" so I have a ton of room but the seat feature that I really like is the capability to extend the horizontal seat bottom to get the upper leg support that works best for me. I have no idea if Lexus or others have this and don't care, I was just commenting on how nice it works for me.
