Is my s600 suppose to have distronic plus braking standard?

I don't have the plastic sheild you are talking about. The manual says I have it, but all other indications say I don't. As far as I know this car has been in Southern California its whole life. The car must have been wrecked, ruined the distronic, and didn't get replaced. Carfax says the car was never wrecked but I'm finding indiciations it might have been.

I heard that the information that's on Carfax (in regards to accidents) comes from the insurance companies, but if you paid for the repairs on your own then the fact that you had an accident wouldn't be reflected on Carfax. So I agree, the information on Carfax is not accurate.

Next time you are at the dealer just have the tech pull the Netstar that shows all the options your car came with. If its early build as said they were missing options.

No need to visit a dealer for that, although it is one option to get the info. I believe the OP already got this (without visiting the dealer).
