My S350 (2006) w221 has miles on the speedometer, is there a way to change it to kilometers, I was able to put Kms on the digital speedometer but not on the big similated screen.Also menu cluster setting it's not usefull.

The dealer can change to km for you. I find that MB really dumbs down their menus compared to all other manufacturers. In my wifes truck you can change virtually anything via the menus, this car lets you change the clock....

 

my dealer also checked with star diag and he can't chane it.

The 2008+ MY S-Classes in the U.S. have an option in the instrument cluster to switch between MPH and KPH. With the S-Class, since they have digital displays, the entire speedometer switches to KPH or MPH (depending on what you select). That said, I'm sure there's a way to do it.

 

i'm sure about that,because dealer check the cluster too.They can't change it.Is it malfunction? Doesn't need to upgrade the ecu or something like that?

 

On my 07, there is an option to add a second speedo in the lower left corner for KPH. Of course, the main speedo remains in MPH as does the odometer.

You need more than a simple Star Diagnostic that dealerships have. In the US, you may try to contact member 'sunilp' but I note that you are not in the US.

 

I think they do it the same way they program the milage by taking off the whole instrument cluster and plug it somewhere. I know that in Saudi Arabia they can even change it to the AMG style ...
