31k miles - front and rear bumpers repainted... otherwise flawless except tiny chips on the chrome of the grill. the plating on the front grill is low quality...

Always a bummer...but for small dings, those "Dent Doctor" guys do an amazing job. Sometimes feint scratches can be buffed out with some compounding material ( one is called "Farecla").
Otherwise, after years of having nice cars and facing the inevitable scratches, I simply take the dealer's touch up paint stick to the bumper and go to it.
Not great, and unless you look up close, it's not bad. Otherwise, it's a pretty hefty cost to repaint a panel.
