New S class
Well, after looking for a few months I have traded my 07 4matic for a 10 4matic. The new one has Sport Package, Premium Leather (a must), P2, Pano., rear shades and a few other odds and ends. It has also got designo Mocha paint which I love, the colour is truly grand. The ride feel is much better ( maybe because it is new), they removed storage bins under front seats, love the new navi. (I never bothered to upgrade on my previous car). All in all a good buying experience. I looked at many other options including s600 (not many available and a 3 month wait to order), BMW, Lexus, others..At the end of the day I really wanted a 4matic. This one was in inventory and I took it home the next day. Will post pics. soon

After a week...seems faster, leather not as plush as previous car (both are premium upgrade), double storage bins in centre were nice on previous car..a few pics..

It now has real time traffic, as well it shows a 3D birds eye view which is a really cool feature and gives a totally new perspective of routing as you drive. As far as "on par with the best from Japan"....there is nothing from Japan that comes remotely close to MB. As a matter of fact nothing from anywhere comes close to MB...IMHO...I tried them all before I went back to the 4matic.
