High Mileage Drivers
How many miles a year do you drive your S class?
How many miles a year does a driver have to drive before he's considered a high mileage driver by lease company?

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
1. Zero. Don't own an S Class
2. Typically, 12,000 miles. But I've seen leases that specify 10K miles. It depends.
3. Depends on the Insurance company. Some insurance companies will give people with 1,000,000+ safe miles under their belts a discount. The way they figure it, the person knows a thing or two about safe driving. Other insurance companies will penalize you for driving more than 5,000 miles per year (if you get "caught").

Well, when you lease a car, a certain number of miles are allowed and included in the lease. I have seen them as low as 7,500 miles a year to 15K per year. The lease also specifies over mileage penalties, typically $0.15-0.25 a mile at lease end. Some leases let you pay for your excess mileage in the middle of the lease, so you are not ht with a large bill at lease end.
Of course if you buy the car at lease end, over mileage is not an issue since you are buying it.
As to Insurance companies, each has their own rules.

In regards to questions 2 and 3, no need for me to repeat Corsa.

I ran my Infiniti lease over by 22,000 mile, I am waiting for the bill now. The inspector came out yesterday to view the car for turn in. I am so afraid that I'm about to get a Monster bill for like 30 Grand. YUK

Two High-Mileage badges (250K & 500K Km) and the car still runs strong. Unfortunately, it's time to retire it mainly to update the styling to the W222. Current mileage is 320K.
