Steering feel- ABC vs non ABC
I read a review that stated that cars with ABC had better steering feel. Interesting because I've heard the steering of the S class praised and the one I drove seemed kind of numb. I think I tested the non ABC car.
Has anyone driven both who could illuminate on this?

Yes, there's a huge difference. The steering on MY2010 non-ABC S550s is electrically assisted, so it's rather uninformative. Furthermore, some people complained about vibration and other problems. ABC cars come with hydraulic power steering which feels a whole lot better; however, there was a rumor that MB will soon switch to electrically assisted steering on ABC cars as well.

I agree with skrontz, the difference between ABC and 4matic is huge. ABC, in my opinion is the most underrated feature in CL and S MBs.
I wouldn't call it anti-gravity device, but it's close to it

2014 S550, 2010 E350
I have 2010 S550 with a steering problem. It is very sluggish and extra hard to turn at low speeds. I have driven other 550s at dealer as well as S63. These cars feel better. So far the dealer has replaced the electric pump and the steering rack with little or no improvement. The dealer is setting up a meeting with the tech rep. I would like to know if others are having a similar problem. NGR in Fl

Is this some sort of a feature on the new electronic power steering? I have not seen the pressure values but perhaps the electric pump cannot reach equally high oil pressure as the traditional pump does?
