Help pls ... W221 Lumbar seat function not working

Hi. has anyone ever come across a problem with the Driver's side Lumbar seat functionon a W221 S-Class?

If I use COMAND to go into the settings as per the screenshot below, the scale from 0,1,2 ...10 can be changed using the dial wheel.

However, when you move the dial to any position from 1-10, it does not STORE/SAVE that position and I can see that there is no movement of the lumbar in the seat itself which may be why it's not saving it.

If I repeat the same process for the Passenger side, the seat makes noises and sure enough, you can save the setting to the position you want.

Anyone got ideas on what could be the problem on the Driver's side please and how easy to fix? Is it electrical or mechanical? Thx.

So far I haven't experienced any of this. Nevertheless, have the dealer check it out. This should be covered under warranty.

MBUSA service campaign 2006090002 SEPT06 installs updated software for MY07 because seat control unit may loose its memory.

Even before the seats have a chance of memorising the lumbar position, it appears that they don't adjust when you trun the dial - so could this be something more fundamental and mechanical - a mechanical failure of osme sort in the lumbar section of the seat and if so what?

Only definitive way to diagnose is with SDS.

Take it in...I have had replaced bladders on both lumbar and side bolsters on my 07 550...two different instances....dealer replaced bladders and normal function returns.
