Does anyone know if we can install an aftermarket head unit on a 2007 to 2009 S550 ? Or anyone modified their head unit to playback .avi movies through a flash usb thumb drive?

you can use the AV input for the COMAND to play anything if you have a seperate source. i do it all the time with computers

I of course agree with jbondox. But why would you prefer to play avi movies from a USB drive instead of playing DVDs? I don't see the car any fantastic movie theatre anyway and the AUX Video (Comand AUX or TV AUX) should be fine with an external player if DVDs for some reason are not good.

An after market head unit on a W221 would spoil the car.
