My AMG Wheel Problems
I bought my car only 100 days ago, no sooner than I got it, I changed the tires. My friend gave me some 19" CLS55AMG rims pictured.
The first problem that I had was that the TPMS off my OEM wheels did not fit inside the tires. Now I have the nagging indicator light.
The second problems was that the lug nuts were too long and they kept rubbing and making noise until they broke my parking brake springs. (I bought the shorter ones for $100)
Now after fixing all the problems that came with, 4000 miles later; the tire tread is gone from existence. All 4 tires are wearing terrible on the inside edges, leaving me with the white chords. Not good for a pair of brand new Potenzas... Now the Alignment is pulling hard to the right and I have a knocking sound underneath my driver side front axel.
I Don't know What to do!

2004 S55 ///AMG, 2007 E350
So you installed the S550 tires on the CLS55 AMG wheels?
The sound you hear might be the tie rods, which will cause bad tire wear. Not sure how many miles you have on your S550 but being a 2007 I am guessing 50-60K miles or so, have the steering system checked by your mechanic, if they replace tie rods, they will have to do an alignment afterwards, but sounds like you do need new tires any way.

I have top of the line Bridgestones! You'd better make sure that your vehicle is supportive of whatever you put on it, because I have derailed my train with these 19's....
I went back to factory today and all my problems went away except a slight pull from alignment.

That's interesting because the wheel set I am looking at are the exact same model as you have (2010 AMG) and I have a non AMG 2007 S550 4matic.
It's odd why these wheels wouldn't work? What would be different between the 2010 and 2007 models?
Who would I check with to see if these would work?

First of all, if you talk to any dealership; they'd say nothing works outside of the original. I did put 19" AMG staggard wheels on my car and I tore thru them in less than 8K miles.
But whose counting. I need to find something to put back on them because the originals do absolutely nothing for me
Rough Ride
Alignment Blues
Tread Depravation
etc, etc, etc.

I was told that with 4matic you can't have staggered, is yours a 4matic?
The set I am looking at is not staggered, but when I go on MBs site is see these wheels on the 2010AMG package? I'm not sure how they would not be compatible?
Also I HATE the Continentals I have on right now(and they are brand new) and when I went to some tire stores they all told me the same story that there are really only 2 approved tires and that are made custom for 2007 - 2010 S550, the Michelin Pilot sport HX MXM4 and the Continental Pro-contact Uggg....
So you put your originals back on?

2014 E350 4matic sedan
I have a 2007 S550 4matic with AMG pkg, I was told 4matic can't have staggard wheels. I am running on Michelin Pilot sports and they are fine.
