How to charge you iPod with factory kit...
My old white plug adaptor split in two, been driving with wires dangling around but it still worked. Bought replacement today from TRI Star and my service advisor mentioned this new replacement wire (black in color vs. original white) charges the iPod.
Just installed it tonight, pull the CD changer and drop glove box, 15 minute job, and it does work like a charm.
Thought I'd share - much happier now![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
BTW part is about $75
