Switch in armrest compartment?
Does anyone know what is the switch with (0) and (l) symbole is for?
If you open up the storage compartment under the center console armrest, you see a switch with the symbole (0) and (l). Thanks in advance!

The 4-zone AC explains this. I thought you don't have a similar storage compartment either and the switch would not make much sense then, the rear AC system occupies most of the centre console compartment space.

i have this same "cooler" feature on my 2004 W220. All it does is redirect AC air flow that would normally go out the back of the console for the rear passengers and instead sends it into the console compartment. I have two-zone hvac.
It's a "cool" feature. As metioned earlier, it is not very powerful as a chilling or "keep it cold" device. Theoretically, I suppose it's cooling ability is limited to the current passenger AC temp settings, assuming no loss, so I could probably get high-heat-transfer items (for instance, beverages in cans) down to the 50s if I leave them in there long enough. Hopefully my passengers won't start getting frostbite.
What I really want is the fridge between the back seats, but, as I understand it, that's a no-go for my car. Something about the gas tank being in the way?

Yes, the W220 would need a different tank to allow a cool box at the rear (or ski bag). Easy to retrofit to a W221, specifically if the car already has the pass-through doors for ski bag.

The switch doesn't really work, Whenever i put a cold drink in the compartment on a long trip.. It feels like the drink was left in a 120 degree room

These sound like MBrace (Tele-aid) buttons, the one controlling air flow is more like a lever, not a switch (not electric anyway). I don't know if it was removed from facelift cars.

My dealer said this wasn't activated, but maybe the previous owner still has a subscription?I saw a video on a 07-09 that had a "vent" in the back of the armrest. I definitely don't have one in there, just a "light".
I don't have the ski bag option but just wondering what do I need to do to create the ski bag pass through as mine is just an empty compartment?
Is there a fried for W221, thought it was W220? An easy retrofit?
Thanks
