I took the car to the dealer last week for warranty work. I have about 200 miles left before it expires. One of my complaints was with the sound system. Out of the blue it seems to cut out just for an instant. Its noticeable but so quick that you can’t look to see if anything has shut down (which does not appear to be from what I could tell).
I called the dealer back and told them I was still having the issue and he said that I needed to bring it back ASAP because the warranty would be gone at 50K. Is there no extension when they are actively working on something like this? Has anyone else had any issues like this?
I'd like to also ask a couple of questions about general operation. Is it normal for the sound to semi mute when you put the car in park? Also when you switch the car off, the audio goes off and then comes back on. On my last car (W220) the audio just stayed on until you opened the driver’s door.
Anyway, if anyone could shed some light, I'd be grateful.

My car has a minor mute when you put it in park to allow you to here the chime confirming park. When I shut the car off buy hitting the start stop button the audio stays on until the drivers door is opened. I would question the dealer about the warranty timeline. Usually when you are actively searching to fix a problem they go by when it was reported, not fixed...
