Tuner Cost
Hi guys,
What does a tuner cost? Looks like mine needs to be replaced. Has this happened to anyone yet? There is no sound coming from my speakers and when they connected the diagnosis equipment, there is no response from the tuner...so this may be the reason.

Hi Nick,
It's not the TV Tuner I am referring to, that is separate on the diagnosis machine. What I am referring to is the audio tuner located on the left panel inside the trunk.
Has anyone changed this before? Could it be caused by a low battery?

I guess you did not have low battery during diagnosis. Temporary power loss would not disable the tuner. Did you check the fuses and the connectors? How about other MOST ring devices?

They coducted a low battery test and I had the rear battery replaced. I received a quote for a new Amplifier...$2800 CAD!! Is this the only option? I cannot believe that an amplifier would have to be replaced on a three year old model...has anyone had to look into an amp replacement before?

Where are the drain pipes located? I want to make sure that if replaced, it does not happen again. They are 99% sure it's the AMP and says that it can go if the battery is low or if has been abused. I recently picked up my S550 07 and it went through all the MB servicing but not sure how it was treated by the previous owner.

I ordered a used amplifier and it arrived yesterday. I'll be installing it this weekend and will let you know if it resolved the audio issue...I sure hope it does.
