Finally got the update installed but they told me there is no birds eye view available in the 2007 S Klasse. They spent over hour on phone with MB engineer in NJ and that was the conclusion. Does that sound right? DVD plays now when in park so I am halfway there..

 

If DVD plays then you have birds eye. Can you change stations from the keypad on the console? You need to go to Nav settings then perspective or view (something like that) and it should be there. Frankly I never used the BE view, I just wanted the other features. Did you get rid of the annoying don't forget your key chime yet?

 

Will play with it more tomorow.. I never had the chime problem.. only if I leave the key in the ign..I can play DVD's now but I didnt find the options you mention in the nav settings but will look again tomorow..

 

The chime might only be with keyless go cars. The "don't forget your key" chime will sound for as long as your car door is open whenever it is open. It is infuriating after a while.

I don't have my car anymore to check for bird's eye, but it should be somewhere in the nav setup menu, I remember it being on the top left hand part of the screen.

Can you change presets with the keypad and scroll presets with the steering controls (instead of frequency)? Those were the two biggest plusses for me with doing the update...

 

I have an 07 with Birds Eye after the update...

They are def wrong about that...
