WARNING! All you guys using links to lower your rides, do NOT take the links on and off the ball joints they are attached to too many times, you will run the risk of the ball joint arm bending back and forth during install and will break off if moved too much. I taken my links off the rears about 3 or 4 times to adjust height and bent the arm and now is broke. I will take it to a machine shop to get it welded back on or worst case buy a new ball joint. so you guys do with caution.

Depends on how wide your wheels are... Im running 9.5x22 front with a 40 offset and 255/30-22 tires and my car is pretty low.. My next wheels will be 9x22 with a 40/42 offset so it can be even lower

^ I bet you get all kinds of rubbing up front? Because 8.5-9" up front is the right diameter for our cars,and also you're runing 255"s tire which is a bit wider too?

Nopez only rubbing is if i turn with really high speed and brake in the same time otherwise its perfect.. When speed bumps and stuff is in the way i just press the button inside to raise the car;-)

Yeah, went with the Ghost Links over the Air Adjustable links since they are fully adjustable while on your car.
No need to take them on and off and risk breaking your ball joints
like the other member stated he had done.

CTDK where did you do your S600 brake upgrade? Are your rear rotors cross drilled? Finally another mbworld'er who can attest to the awesome stopping power of this upgrade...

I did it myself found a complete set on ebay for 1500euro:-) the rears arent cross drilled but found a german shop who sells them for a little under 300euro so im gonna change them soon

Ive just raised mine now, because there is so much snow here in Denmark and Sweden and I use it as a daily driver, and put 9x20 with 255/30-20 front and 10.5x20 rear with 285/35-20 winter tires on kleemann TS7's painted black

the rear links was kinda hard to get off so ppl installing them it would be a good idea to put some anticorrosion spray on before installing the links so they slide off more easily if needed to be adjustet again

Finally did it myself in the Garage. Pretty easy as everyone said. Front was a piece of cake, but the rear was a pain, I started to panic, cause at first I couldn't find the sensor or link, then once i found it, I thought I wouldn't be able to get to it or take the link and sensor off. But hey, I was determined. So I lowered the car....too low in the rear at first, panicked again, then twisted the links a couple more times to raise it perfectly. I did cut the tab on the rear and I had to roll the rear too...when I hit a bump in the road I would hear the scrape...so I had both rears rolled. After two days, I adjusted the front up a little more, for it to sit almost even, I didn't like the front end lower that much lower than the front as it was. But here are my pics of the finished product. I'll prolly get an alignment soon, just because. But I just went on a long drive and she rides straight and to me still smooth and comfortable on the C setting. Lowering the car, just makes the appearance hella sick......Thanks for all the advice. Oh, and yeah, you can make the changes/adjustments without ever taken off the wheels, just jack the car up and twist away!!! Pics taken coming out of the Garage.

Did anyone experience any sideeffects with the links?? Recently my car started to "jump" from the front drivers side.... When you hold still at a intersection and hold the brake, the front lifts up 2 inches and goes back down all in under 1sec and its only when your holding still??? Anyways my links are coming of next week just made a killer deal on a brand new renntech module on ebay, the idea of being able to adjust the ride right via USB makes a gadget freak like me tingle inside hehe

I switched my links to the renntech v3 module now and i gotta say the comfort is much better now

The car is even lower than before im running 75mm/3 inch lowering both front and rear and its amazing how smooth the car still is to ride compared to when the links was on, plus its a super cool feature you just plug in your laptop and run the software to lower or raise the car:-)

I don't get it. If lowering it with links or module,how would one be more comfortable than the other? The car is still using the same structs, but the only difference is that the module is controlled by a laptop,and the other is adjusted manually?

Didn't install them yet. Just got my Vossen CV1's on Tuesday and with all this snow it's kinda killing my excitement to install them. At least for now.

For those lowered on 22's, what is this tab that is being cut? any pics? I'll check into it when I do the install but would be nice to see before hand. Thanks.

Links are cheating the system, lowering module is working with the system so it can adjust itself , its the same with my touareg on links its bumpy as hell

Yes, and you"re also paying 5x more to work with the system? Either way,my question is if both does its job by lowering the car via laptop or manully. How can one compared to be better in ride quality? The oem struts has not been modified.thats what im confused sbout?
