Does 4MATIC effect how driving pleasing the S550 is?

Does 4MATIC effect how driving pleasing the S550 is?
Would you say it makes the car less fun to drive (not that it is all that much), or does it really have no different feel as the awd system is so electronically controlled?

I'd say it is more fun to be able to drive the car in the winter than look at it parked on your driveway/garage 
You will probably also have better traction in heavy rain or slippery situations like in the fall with leaves all over the road. Personally I would not consider a MB without 4MATIC and it was very smart of MB to offer this across pretty much their entire model lineup. They probably poached many otherwise A8 customers with the S550V4.
