Need help before purchase on 07

Put $ down on 07 S550 last night. Car was nice, price etc... But didn't get carfax to just to check on what the car has had done to it. Tonight I check and it's had the camshaft position sensor changed every year and just this last service before sale the camshaft seal was replaced. Should I be alarmed by this? Ive read about the balancer shaft and sprocket issue. Should I investigate this engine # or see what the deal is with this motor?

I just check to see what 08's might be available eventhough I'd have to spend more on it but the carfax reads almost the same on the 08's also?

Is the cam position sensor a reg service item that gets replaced? Just seems wierd that they seem to get replaced frequently.

Sorry for this to be my first post but I'll do a better intro later.

Thanks,
Eric

Ok did somemore searching and it's seems is just a common issue. Figure they would upgrade the sensor. Anyway I feel abit better.

I do have to say the balancer shaft issue is not mind easing. But I got the info and will check on it.

Hopefully everything goes smooth and I'll be back for a proper intro with my new ride.

Just to be sure you should still check the engine # to be sure it is not one of the affected engines with the sprocket issues. You do not want that extra cost and problem later on.
