Does anyone how to erase the present contact list on Comand address book and reload new updated contact list from the same Droid phone?

Only way I have found is to reset the telematic unit to Factory.. wipes out everything. Contacts , Nav destinations etc.. Its nuts that one cant just erase the address book buit I havent found a way either.
