Suggested tires for 4Matic
Non-AMg; strait ol' 4matic. 2007 with 18" stock MB wheels.
Am thinking of putting snow tires on them and using for winter. Looking at stock 19" alloy MB wheels. What tire size would readers recommend and is there a brand best for "summer/rain", no winter. I know I'll get better advice here than at a tire store. Thanks.

I just put these on a 4matic in a 20". Plan on driving in Michigan with them. Missed this winter though.
(Can't figure out why the 18s are more than the 20s..?)

Tire related query. The 19" MB wheels I look to use...two are part 65498, 8.5 wide. The other two are part 65469, 9.5 wide. I understand the wider are for rear for stagger etc. But, what happens when you rotate them? Back goes to front, staying on the same side. So then the 9.5 are on the front. Isn't that how it'd go? What's the impact of wider on front? Or, do you have to swap the tires to keep the 9.5's on the rear. Kinda confusing. Thanks.

I put Conti ExtremeContact's on my 4matic this winter....18inch stock wheels...absolutely great in snow...amazing actually....I am not sure if related to running at slightly higher pressure, but they "feel" a bit harsher ride quality than the stock Conti ContactPro tires I replaced...I also looked at the Bridgestone Serenity tires, but the price diff drove me to the Conti's....tire rack was good as well...first time I had used them and their process/local installer....good luck.
