Question 2007 ----->>> to current

hello. my dad has a 2007 s class designo edition. he wants to update everything (headlights, tailights, AMG package rear bumper and front bumper).my question is where do we get the everything and is everything just plug and play. how much would it also cost. im telling him to get a new car instead or wait for the new models

This is discussed quite a bit in the forums... do a search. The short answer is this is a $10,000 to $15,000 job depending on all you do and there are some tough obsticles to overcome with computer programming issues. There are also some new technology features you will never be able to get in the COMMAND system, lane departure, attention assist, split view screen, etc...

I would wait a bit and trade in for a "newer" CPO... The best you can do is get a "close cosmetic" update but NOT worth it if you plan on selling on the "frankencar" in the near future... The upgrades, retrofits and reprograming might hurt re-sale more then leaving it as-is.

Now... that said.... I personally, upgraded the taillights to LED with "plug and play" units bought on ebay for $500, got the wood steering wheel for $400, IWC clock, and a few little extras, which can give a mild "facelift" and not break the bank...

thanks for your input . . .. he only wants the exterior update and 10-15g's was also my estimate if this was done
