Any transmission problems on 2007 S600?
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone of you had any transmission or other related problems on your 2007 S600. I have noticed threads related to 2007 S550 7G transmission problems but haven't seen any reported on 2007 S600.

Yes, in the C (comfort) mode, there would be a jerky shift from a standing start from 2nd into 3rd. Eventually it was repaired by replacing the "valve body" of the transmission. Have you had problems?

the s600 has a 722.6 five speed transmission .. if maintained on time it is a very solid transmission. the 7 speeds have eratic shift issues and failing valve bodies, as well as failed transmissions. reason the s600 has the 5 speed is because the 7 speed cannot handle the v12s torque.

2007 MB S600
transmission being rebuilt at 72000 miles
transmission went on me while driving home. I had to pull over and restarted the car for it to engage it would last about 1 mile then disengage. My Mechanic who works on all of my MB told me it was better to rebuild it that get it refurbished from MB. he does about 30 per year. It will save me about 2 grand. Next time around I will pay more attention to the transmission fluid changes. V12 has so much torque. I have an S65 2012 less mileage more electronic crazy torque
