How to get more power from S500/550
New performance thread.. Please don't offer upgrades to AMG or S600..
I got 2008 S500 4-Matic and appreciate the AWD very much. But you know.. you get used to the power you have whatever you have :-) Is there a way how to increase performance of this 5.5l V8 engine and who of you have done it?
Found this so far .... http://www.kleemann.dk/Performance/Engines/V8_M273.aspx
Very nice .. anyone has it?

you can run a performance tune, exhaust, probably some cam options, etc.
The bottom line is that on these NA motors, you will spend a cubic ton of money, sacrifice some quietness and smoothness, and put reliability as risk if you want to really stretch the power level.
If you want another 30bhp or so, that should be doable fairly easy. Any more than that, and it simply doesn't make much sense unless cost is not a factor.

How can you get another ±30bhp easily anyway?
Or I'll drive my friend's old E230 for a day and calm down probably
