yes, in this post you prove that your reading comprehension is missing.
Lengths better= significantly better
I stated that I disagreed. I did not state the 220 was better, I just think that the difference is much smaller than "lengths". If I anywhere said the 220 was better, please quote me on it.
220 is boring to look at? I disagree (obviously), but thats subjective.
220 is boring to drive? Its a luxury sedan, just like the 221. Neither one is fun to drive in the base models. If you want fun to drive, you should be looking at sports cars.

I have to disagree on the 221 as not fun to drive. Not to go off topic but for comparison sake. Just before my 221 purchase in 2008, I came out of a 2006 E60 M5 as my DD. At first, I was thinking the 221 could have been a mistake because it was my first benz. I still remember my 1st first impression on the test drive for the 221 was that this is a boat and the steering could be done with one finger. However, 2 months into the ownership of the 221, I never looked back as now I understand this is just a superior car and in a different class all by itself.
In my M5, I rarely got to use of the sport M mode (500hp), it was always left in the 400hp mode. I got sick of going through tires, crappy gas mileage and the jerky SMG real quick. My 221 and 216 are the smoothest rides I have ever experienced and it also gets up and goes with relatively good MPG. I do have the ABC so when you start driving aggressive things will tighten up. If I want a relaxing drive, I can have that and not feel like I'm getting beat up like in a BMW. It's really the best of both worlds.
Also, the 550 motor is good for mid to high 13s in the 1/4 which is plenty for me. I don't even think I have floored either one of my cars once!
I don't have a sports or race car now but I did sell my 880rwhp corvette last year. I'm over obsessing about having the fastest car or highest RWHPs as it is a never ending addiction.
I just can't wait to see what the next 217 and 222 are going to look like.
