Hello ronin1099 - almost all w221 will have this issue at one point depends on the usage of the armrest and the sun does make it more loose- I bought my car and 2 months later it looked loose - so i took it apart and gave it to my upholster to glue it to the foam underneath- in factory form its only glued on the sides- oh i purchased CPO S50- they wont warranty that .. hope this helps
