s550 Keyless start question
Hi members,
I recently got an 07 S550 with keyless start. When I got the car, I only got one key. So they ordered a 2nd one for me and it came in the mail.
The 2nd key that I got can unlock the car by pressing the button and can start the car by putting the key into the key location (after I take off the start/stop button).
But it won't keyless start the car and I get a message key not recognized or similar message.
Today I went to the mercedes dealership and they told me i got the wrong key and it's not the keyless type. But then they mentioned after that I may need to keep the key in there for 45 minutes inserted and turned on for the key to program with the vechicle.
I'm wondering if anybody has had this problem. I'm at work and I can't test it right now and it's bugging me. If you have any feedback on this, I would great appreicated it!
thanks!

As far as I read from other posts, don't kep both keys in the cr at the same time. That could be a reason. But if the dealer told you that the key is not a keyless type, I would go by what he says.
