2007 S550
parking brake actuator
Hello all,
I bought my car back in last year November a 2007 S550, warranty was expired last March. Until yesterday the electronic parking brake not working, when I push the parking brake switch it's make a very loud noise under the car, the electronic actuator tried to engage the brake system but it's fail to. inside the dash came up "PARKING BRAKE SEE OWNER MANUAL"
So I decided to take it to the dealer to check it out, they said I need to replace the parking brake actuator, it's cost 1k for part and labor
Is there anybody had this problem before? If so, is there a cheaper way to fix it? I'm really appreciated your advise and guidance.

Man, that's lousy. Too expensive. I would check around with other service garages. I too bought a used 07 and thank god I bought a GM Major Guard program. All ready have used it, but it was a minor repair. Good luck.
