Can the factory Sirius be added to a s550 that did not come with it from factory?

Yes, but before asking that question, I would get the dealer (or yourself) to check in the left hand side of the trunk for the Sirius module (you'll have to remove the carpet from the side in order to get at the modules). I have an 07 S550 and I also thought I didn't have Sirius until I went to install the module I purchased only to find one already installed. Some of the launch edition vehicles (the first ones off the line) didn't have the module attached for some reason. These cars also don't have the MHI shoe for the bluetooth/cellphone adapter, which would be an indication that your vehicle could be an early model

If it isn't there and you want to buy it new, http://www.mymercedesparts.com is always a good place to start.

EDIT: Forgot to mention; Your COMAND will need to be coded with STAR in order for it to display the Sirius (Sat Radio) option. Unless you have STAR, you'll need to get this done at a dealer.

Thanks, just flew out this morning and picked the car up and drove 10 hours home. It's a late 07 and does have Sirius. Perfect condition car with 29k.
