So this is what I did.
1)Turn on the auto dipping from the command unit.
2)Put the car into reverse
3)adjust the mirror to where I want it to tilt
4)Press "P". But then the mirror just stayed there and didn't move back up?
I have to adjust it to move back up. But when I put the car back into "R" the mirror moves all the way up again?

Keep on trying...Diffret ways. Talk to a Local MB dealer if they know..If it can be reset or so...My Star is loced foor door modules so I cant check.

Chris, nice work on the upgrades. I've been a lurker for a while and your thread got me motivated to make some minor cosmetic upgrades to my recently purchased S550. I looked at the work you did on changing out the dash panel, do you recall if the chrome trim ring (escutcheon) around the key ignition switch was removable from the front of the dash panel? Or does the dash panel need to be removed to replace the escutcheon from the back?
Also, do you have more info on where to get the wood panel replacement/covers for the CD/DVD changer? Thanks.

Chris did you ever get the sl55 rear slotted disc's on your car? I need new disc's rear soon and slotted would be better looking than just normal

No...The wheels didnt accept the new calipers and discs. So I have normal slotted discs now as you can see.

So you're saying after almost a month of me waiting. You still don't have time? I think you should get this problem resolved because there's all the other members who you sold the mirrors to have the exact same problems. I don't think its fair for everyone who you sold these mirrors to,are stuck with something that does not work 100%. As you, yourself stated? So please help everyone fix these issues?

Great work! Love the small details you have put into the car. The only thing I wasn't a fan of, were the wheels. Very subjective thing though. Regardless, nice work!
