Yes, your inverters are actually the wrong ones and dont work.

My advice would be DON'T BUY FROM EBAY. Seems like most that do have issues. I bought mine from mbonlineparts.com. Not cheap, but about $200 less than from dealer and you get the full OEM kit that works right out of the box.

so now i have finally installed mine aswell, bought the missing controle module, and sure enough 3 of the inverters from the Ebay guy agomdalal is not working!!! when i change the working inverter to all the other 3 door sills they work perfect, so now im ****ed since you cant buy the inverters seperately!!

it took me a litte under 4 hours to make the entire install, so how the other guy here could spend 16 hours making the same install I really dont know, fair enough I work with cars on a daily basis but still :P

If you think of any solution for bad inverters please let me know.It would be useful if someone knows on what voltage are the sills working?!

That's because not everyone is honest or straight forward, some would like to ego trip while others are too selfish to tell you the truth regarding installation time, or maybe they are too inexperience to be an installer that it took them forever to do the project.

You said you have one working inverter, right?
Can you measure the input current that is going to inverter?I guess it is 12V DC.
And than conect the working inverter and measure output(the conectors that should be connected to a door sill) currency? Now it should be some kind of AC currency if we are realy talking about inverters here.
Can you measure that values,please?

i actually got 4 new inverters from the guy from ebay, i just havent had the time to change them yet, but i did some searching aswell and found out you can order the inverters from MB, for a X164.. I havent ordered one yet since I got 4 new, but looking at the picture they look 100% the same and they are not that expensive, so I would start of by just ordering one and if it works, order the missing ones..

I also tried taking one of the none working inverters apart but there was nothing to be seen, filled up with glue to the top as soon as you get the lid off..

I just replaced them yesterday and now all mine are working i bought 4 extra(i needed 3) but was told they dont last forever so always good to have a spare.. I got them from the gut agomdal from ebay that i got the whole kit from I wrote him and said that 3 of them wasnt working

If i was you i would order one of thoose for the x164 I showed a picture of, you can see the part number and its not that expensive so if it doesnt work you havent lost a fortune and if they do work you can order the 3 remaining you need

Don't know about oems, read somewhere that they have to plug in somewhere under the seats? I got by self a pair of Brabus sills and just connected them to footwell lights. Works just fine. Full brightness on open doors and slightly dimmed when doors close. Even my wife wants a set for her cls.

I got the LWB OEM illuminated sills instead of the SWB. Is there anyone out there who wants to swap the rear sills and scuff plates i.e. I have the long so i am willing to swap for the Short ones.

There is a guy selling complete OEM sets on eBay for fraction of the cost: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130810458157...84.m1439.l2649

I just purchased one and plan on installing next week. Did anyone buy from this guy by any chance?
