Telephone volume

My wife said that the volume on her phone in the S550 has become lower and she cannot get the volume to increase. Her car has the MB Bluetooth puck in the console. She has tried to increase the volume using the steering wheel buttons and the volume wheel on the console. The radio volume increases but not the phone. Any tips?

Thanks

lou, did she try to increase the volume when the phone is connected and a conversation is going on with some other party (so the radio is off)?

Also check the master volume WHILE ON A CALL on the phone itself. This is a memorized volume, and sometimes can get turned down while squeezing the phone's volume buttons while on a call. This is the most common problem.

When you say check the master volume , what exactly do you mean? Is it the volume on the steering wheel, the console volume wheel or the volume on the actual I phone.

Thanks,

so what happens if she tries to adjust the volume (steering wheel or the volume knob) during a call? volume doesn't change at all but when call disconnected, the radio volume goes way high?

did you try to unpair the bluetooth (might need to go through 4 different phones to completely "erase" the memory from the module) and pair again?

how about if you try to connect with your phone?

Did she try to adjust the volume from the phone or the car? Sorry but I would not trust a wife telling "I did that", as suggested above, try it yourself with your phone and then with your wife's phone. If the phone is good, the issue will be solved.
