Windshield washer not working
Today I realize that my windshield washer was not pumping/working at all. I have a 2007 S550 4matic. Last time I tried to used it maybe a month ago? All was fine. About a week ago my message on the command center stated the wiper fluid was low. The next day I refilled it with a little more than a gallon of fluid and warning light went out. I didn't check if it was pumping after the refill. Today was the first day of snow in Chicago and low and behold the entire system is inoperable. The wipers themselves work perfectly. There's no sound from the pump when trying to pump from the stalk on the steering wheel but from the headlight washer button it works on the headlights... Washer fluid tank is 90% full. Anyone with any advice on what could be the problem? Trying to avoid a trip to the dealership. Thank in advance.

Do you know whether or not it's 2 separate pumps or not? Because as I stated, the pump that sprays fluid to clean the headlights works fine. Just nothing pumps when activated for the windshield... Also is it a simple d.i.y job (replacing the pump)?
