Thanks, I contacted http://nav.tv/news/remote-tailgate-closer-new-release but they said they won't be having one for our car since there isn't a demand for it. I'm waiting for the other company to see if they ship to the us.

Really? You mean the button on the trunk is too much to push.
You can also remotely close the trunk from the drivers seat. Why would you need it on the remote?

Really? Closing the trunk manually is too much? Why would you need an automatic trunk closer at all?

Keep on wondering my friend.

It's like everything else in this world. Why do you need to drive an S class? Why do you need keyless go, why do you need 22" rims and not keep the stocks. I can give you a list of "Why" Each have their own reason for every of their needs or a want.

I can tell one of my reason for wanting to have this feature. After grabbing all your shopping bags out of the trunk with both hands full, it's just nice to be able to be in the house and just press a button on the remote and close the trunk instead of having to walk back out to the garage.

But I guess your next wonders is "Why can't I just walk out the garage and press the button on the trunk?"

Learn something new today....did not know that you can close the trunk by pushing the trunk button on the driver's door....thought the button was only to open.

S class should come with a key fob that has a close and open trunk.

I have just blown a hole in one of the pipes that connect from the ram to the pump in the boot. Mercedes tell me I have to buy the whole unit which costs £700 in the UK just for the part. They will not sell the pipe on its own.

Thank you for that very detailed info. It has been very helpful. I will have to bow to Mercedes and buy the whole pump.

I personally would rather a mod like how the new Acura's and Ford's can open the trunk by waving your foot under the rear bumper. Many times I am carrying parcels which makes it difficult to open the trunk by remote or by pushing the trigger.

I have just retrofitted the Truck Auto Lid Close feature but have not connected the LIVE yet. Looking at the first pdf, can anyone tell me does the live wire connect to the rear battery for permanent live OR does the live wire have a plug/connector on the end which attached to something else eg O Ring ? Thanks
