jerky first gear
Hi guys. Tried to find some info but couldn't. Maybe someone seen this issue?
07 s550 55k. After transmission service I noticed the car is very jerky when letting off the brake a little. Just enough for the car to start rolling but still provide brake resistance. Sometimes when coming to a stop I feel the samewhen down to a few mph right before car stops completely. And only in S mode. The entire car jerks. I had a little of same on old s500 but that car had 96k on it so I didn't pay to much attention.
Any thoughts?

Bump, anyone ever experienced anything like that?
My wife has 06 CLS500 and i noticed her car also started doing the same but barely noticeable... 48K miles, Trans fluid and filter changed 2 months ago.

I know what you are referring to, my 2007 S550 has had this behavior since day one. In S mode (only), at low speeds, especially on slight inclines, the car can seem to be a bit jerky inching forward (it's subtle).
I put this down to the fact that in S vs C mode (where this problem does not happen!!), the car prefers starting in 1st gear vs 2nd, coupled with the fact that the "hill assist" in the transmission which keeps the car from rolling back on a hill probably has some bugs in the software that need to be worked out.

Exactly, no need to use brakes when on an incline, it will exhibit same symptoms, very frustrating for 109k sticker price car to be acting like 80s civic. Mine is not subtle, very noticeable. My wife's 06 cls500 does the same but barely noticeable.
Based on what I read here it maybe an issue that can be fixed. One instance was fixed with electronic valve replacement, some say it's Valve body. Don't know if it's the same thing.
