Brake Squeal

Installed new pads and Rotors from R1 in Dec. They worked real good but now have developed a loud squeal when lightly braking at abt 5mph down to a stop. I did use anti squeal paste.. I broke the rotors in just like the directions stated.. I emailed R1 2 wks ago and they didnt answer the email. The pads are Ceramic.
Any good ideas what to try to quiet them down?:

good anti squeal paste will only help. the dealer just serviced my brakes with 7k miles for squealing noise with the paste at all four wheels.

Did you ever get the squeal to go away????

I am going crazy with the left front brake squealing on slow stops...its embarassing to drive in a parking lot any more.

I have tried everything I read about:

-I went to dealer and got new rotors and pads and squeal paste treatment...no joy.
-I gave up on MB pads and bought the Poterfield RS4's had an independent shop install...no joy.
-Back to independent shop twice for the noise...still no joy. He suggests that the rotor may need replacement...again...could this really be correct? The rotors are probably 9 months old ~10k miles....
-today, pulled off the wheel and pads and did another round of squeal paste myself to make sure it was done right....still no joy....

Does anyone know if the rotor could be the cause, I hate to replace a fairly new MB rotor just to troubleshoot, but am getting desparate on this...

Thanks in advance!

If only L/F making noise, without buying new rotor, you can swap front rotors and see if noise go to the other side. Also, making sure sensor does not touch rotor after installed.

I changed mine with oem pads all corners and the squeal went away. The R/R sensor was just touched rotor. BTW, the oem pads should not apply squeal paste on S550.

Good luck.

rotor is just like speakers it's the brake pad and brake piston (CALIPER) that causes the squeal Try other softer pads you can actually return the pads from the dealership as soon as you installed it and it does not stop the squeal.
